The mission of the Masters program Cosmetic and Medical Technology is to train qualified specialists with the ability to study chemical processes specific to cosmetics and medicinal cosmetics technologies that are able to design and organize a cosmetic or pharmaceutical production based on the knowledge of chemical, pharmacological and ecological aspects of raw materials and materials, ecological and economic opportunities of different technological solutions.

The main objectives of the Master’s Program The Technology of Cosmetic and Medicinal Products provide for the deepening of the theoretical knowledge obtained during the first academic cycle; detailed study of technological processes, raw materials, chemical, pharmacological and cosmetic properties of cosmetic and medicinal products, fields of use, storage conditions, etc.

For the complex and reasoned study of the Master’s program, the program provides fundamental disciplines such as: chemistry and cosmetics technology, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, modern pharmaceutical technologies, modern technologies in cosmetology that will be complemented with deeper studies in specialization subjects , such as: pharmacotherapy and phytotherapy, macromolecular compounds in pharmacy, chromatographic techniques in PCM analysis, natural and synthetic dyes

The necessity of masters studies in the specialty of cosmetic and medicinal products is conditioned by the rapid development of the domestic sector of pharmaceutical production and production of raw materials for pharmaceutical and cosmetology (cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants, production of volatile oils, ethyl alcohol, other materials). The training of such specialists ensures a certain level of industrial development of the country by taking into account several local technological and industrial perspectives such as raw materials and natural resources, ecological issues, energy intensiveness of the industry.

The qualification of the second cycle (master in engineering and engineering activities) is offered to graduate students who have completed the program and promoted the evaluation tests at least with the grade “5”. Upon completion of the training program, the graduate holds the following professional skills.

  • Self-fulfillment and independence of professional tasks.
  • Establish the basic problems of cosmetic and medicinal products technology, the correlation between these issues and the general principles of sustainable development of society.
  • Analyze and explain the principles of cosmetic and medicinal products manufacturing technology, the link between the composition and the properties of the products in question.
  • Optimize the current technological processes of obtaining cosmetic and medicinal products in order to improve the quality and saving of basic raw materials and materials.
  • Appropriate selection and use of methods and procedures for assessing the quality of cosmetic and medicinal products.
  • Interpreting and implementing the management and marketing system in cosmetic and medicinal products technology.
